TaxiTop Media

/ about

We put media on ride-hailing cabs before anyone else.

Then we kept going. Here's how a cab-screen start-up became a full-stack outdoor media partner.

  1. Chapter 1

JustTap Media: in-cab screens, Mumbai (2015–2018)

Our founder Harsh Vardhan Mahipal started JustTap Media in Mumbai in 2015, fitting 10.1-inch tablet screens on the back of front-seat headrests in about 1,000 taxis, playing ads, content and passenger services — the first media assets on ride-hailing cabs in India, and arguably anywhere in the world.

  2. 2018 onwards

    TaxiTop Media is founded

TaxiTop Media was founded in August 2018, taking what we learned inside the cab to the outside of it.

  3. Next

    Taxi-top screens & Uber’s first global pilot

Next we built digital taxi-top screens and ran Uber’s first global taxi-top pilot. Our hardware was inspected at Uber’s San Francisco headquarters.

  4. Today

A pan-India outdoor partner, HQ in Kolkata

Headquartered in Kolkata, TTM has run pan-India outdoor campaigns for years: in the metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata) and in tier-2 and tier-3 cities such as Jaipur, Patna and Katihar. We deliver car branding, metro branding, hoardings & billboards, DOOH (including RetailVision across Spencer’s stores), ATL and BTL campaigns.

Note: our taxi-top screens are part of our history. We don't sell taxi-top screen advertising today.
